The Falcon

MORDEN FOREST has always been a refuge for OUTLAWS and out-casts, but in recent years as peace and prosperity has swollen the population of NORLAND, so the numbers of OUTLAWS and BANDITS has increased dramatically. THE FALCON is the most famous of all the BANDITS in 1623 and he holds most of MORDEN FOREST as his own land. Since MORDEN FOREST has always been considered an Accursed Place beyond the Authority of TAKSHENDAL, this claim has not met with any contention. However, in the last five or so years, THE FALCON has preyed upon the surrounding lands, stealing livestock and food crops and killing any one who opposed him. Despite his Murderous Reputation, THE FALCON still manages to inspire support amongst the PEASANTS who see him as one of their own, however the true identity of THE FALCON remains unknown.

Other groups inhabit the Forest also, amoongst these are the THE BROTHERS OF THE SACRED GROVE.

These are a sect of Militant DRUIDS who have lurked in the heart of MORDEN FOREST for decades, worshipping EYRU; also known as the GREAT SKY MOTHER. The BROTHERS are said to believe that an ancient grove of Oak Trees that stands in the centre of the forest is a spot once favoured by EYRU as a bower. They believe other such bowers were destroyed by the rapacious appetites of men and have sworn to defend MORDEN FOREST against those whom they considered evil; the land owning classes.
