Knight Protector of the Beloved Society of Green Men
98 Acres and the Right to Equip Twenty Men-at-Arms
As described by Morris Blackkettle:
A curious character. I never quite know what to make of Sir Roger. He is a slight man with a decidely detached manner. A scholar of natural philosophy, he is far better suited to intellectual pursuits than farming, and as a consequence, his holdings have a lackadaisical appearance that ill does him credit. The appearance of shabbiness and general neglect does not seem to concern Sir Roger however for he often appears wearing the worn garb of a peasant and many a time I have been unable to locate him as a consequence of this. He is usually to be found in his gardens however, examining some new marvel of the Creator. Sir Roger is something of a huntsman, but I believe he has no military experience at all, and this despite living in a region plagued with banditry.
Sir Roger usually pays his taxes promptly, but this is mostly due to his daughter Lady Marigold with whom Sir Roger usually leaves his business affairs.
He is a good man, despite his unusual ways, and he lives alone with his three daughters, the Lady Marigold, Lady Marjory and Lady Meredith.
