Snoad is the location of Overmore Castle, and serves as the centre of goverment for the County of Overmore. It is the only port in the county but has no real advantage from this, for though Overmore borders the Salten Reach, the wetlands to the north are so heavily silted as to be an impenetrable barrier. Some foreign ships stop by in Snoad, and there are only a few fishing boats. There is a single warship, a Fusta named Viper under repair.

Snoad and the immediate surrounding area has a population of roughly 200 people. It is only the fifth largest village in Overmore. Some of the servants and staff of Overmore Castle live in Snoad as the Castle is but half a mile from the village.
